Willie Mae

HiHo and Willie Mae’s Scotch House
got together in the kitchen…
and The Willie Mae
fried chicken sandwich is born

Yes, HiHo and Willie Mae’s of New Orleans have a chicken sandwich that features what critics have called (and many Angelenos know as) “America's best-fried chicken.”

Our two founding teams have been friends for a long time. The idea of doing something together has been kicked around for a while. A chicken sandwich using Willie Mae’s Scotch House James Beard award fried chicken was the answer.

To honor the original proprietor, Willie Mae Seaton, the sandwich is simply called The Willie Mae. And like the name, the sandwich highlights all that is great about the fried chicken that debuted in the early 1970s.

The new sandwich stars Willie Mae’s juicy, crispy fried chicken. It’s topped with HiHo’s house-made pickles, a tangy “slaw sauce”, organic honey, and crunchy purple cabbage and is served on a warm brioche bun.
